Medford Fashion Entrepreneur Lends Her Expertise With Newest Role
The business owner and fashion designer has taken on another responsibility.

MEDFORD, MA — A resident has been appointed to the Board of Directors for The School of Fashion Design in Boston.
Melina Cortes-Nmili is the founder of Lalla Bee, a clothing store in downtown Medford on High Street. The Dominican Republic native aimed to make luxury, distinctive clothing items more affordable.
“It just came to me one day. I realized there was a significant need for something truly special for women. My vision has always been focused on those who are busy, those in executive roles, and those who cherish their appearance,” Cortes-Nmili said in a statement. “At a time when prices were climbing but quality was diminishing, I was compelled to act.”
