Medford Football Falls to Malden in Thanksgiving Day Shootout
The Mustangs closed out their season Thursday morning with a disappointing defeat.

The Medford Mustangs varsity football team dropped their Thanksgiving Day showdown against the Malden Golden Tornadoes, 59-36.
Medford dug themselves an early hole and fell behind 20-0, after just one quarter of play. They allowed three defensive touchdowns to begin the game.
They did get things back on track offensively, but Malden tacked on another 39 points before the final whistle was blown. Medford trailed at halftime, 45-8.

In defeat, Medford closed out their season with a 1-11 record. The 95 combined points scored in the contest marked the most in the history of the rivalry, which is comprised of 128 games.
Malden finished their season with a 6-6 record.
