MEDFORD, MA — The city is allowing certain residents to renew their municipal parking permits for the 2026 calendar year early.

Seniors ages 65 and older can now renew their permits at the Parking Department headquarters in room 110 at City Hall on 85 George P. Hassett Drive. The permits are for community members who participate in the Municipal, Business, Realtor or Home Healthcare Worker Parking Programs as well as those who resides on a street that is part of the Resident Parking Program. Both a valid driver’s license and vehicle registration are required to bring for renewal. The city emphasized that people who have an unpaid vehicle violation will not be able to renew until the violation is resolved.

All other residents will be able to obtain a new permit online or in-person beginning on Monday, Nov. 24.
