Medford Has 4 Early Voting Days For Preliminary Election
Don't want to wait in line at the polls on Sept. 14? Here's how you can submit a ballot early.
MEDFORD, MA — There are four early voting days for the Sept. 14 preliminary election in Medford.
Voters can submit a ballot at City Hall at the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, September 7th: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Wednesday, September 8th: 8:30am – 7:30pm
- Thursday, September 9th: 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday, September 10th: 8:30am – 12:30pm
Early voting will also be offered for the Nov. 2 election.

Mail-In Voting
Registered voters also have the option of requesting a mail-in ballot. To do so, complete an application – must be physically signed – and return it to the Registrars of Voters Office. The form is available at www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/2021-Vote-by-Mail-Application.pdf. Apply as early as possible.
Ballot packs will be mail as soon as ballots arrive at City Hall.

You can return the ballot by mail, bring it to City Hall during business hours, or drop it into the Mail Drop Box outside of City Hall (Clippership Drive) side entrance.
In-Person Voting
In-person voters must adhere to the following COVID-19 guidelines:
- Voters, observers, and staff who are not vaccinated must wear masks. Masks must be worn over the nose and mouth.
- Voters, observers, and staff who are vaccinated are not required to wear masks, but the City strongly encourages all in attendance to wear masks when indoors.
- Election staff will regularly disinfect each voting booth and common surfaces.

- Ward 1-1: Andrews Middle School, 3000 Mystic Vly. Pky (near Hormel Stadium)(Cafeteria)
- Ward 1-2: Firefighters Club, 340 Salem Street
- Ward 2-1: *NEW LOCATION*Roberts Elementary School, Park Street/Court Street
- Ward 2-2: Roberts Elementary School, 35 Court Street (Park Street entrance)
- Ward 3-1: Medford American Legion, 321 Winthrop Street
- Ward 3-2: Temple Shalom, 475 Winthrop Street
- Ward 4-1: Tufts University, Gantcher Center, Cousens Gym Entrance, 161 College Avenue
- Ward 4-2: Walkling Court, Fondacaro Center, 22 Walkling Court, off Auburn and North Streets
- Ward 5-1: Missituk Elementary School, 37 Hicks Avenue (off Main Street) – Cafeteria
- Ward 5-2: Missituk Elementary School, 37 Hicks Avenue (off Main Street) – Cafeteria
- Ward 6-1: West Medford Fire Station, 26 Harvard Avenue
- Ward 6-2: Brooks Elementary School, 388 High Street
- Ward 7-1: Mystic Valley Towers, Mystic Place, 3600 Mystic Valley Parkway, North Building entrance
- Ward 7-2: McGlynn K-8 Public School, 3004 Mystic Valley Parkway
