Medford High School environmental science teacher Audrey Carmosino was recognized for her "green" practices at a school committee meeting Monday. In May, Carmosino was awarded as Green Teacher of the year by non-profit Green Schools. She was given a certificate for her accomplishment by the school committee Monday night. Carmosino's work at the high school has included efforts to improve recycling and implement a community garden. She credited her students for motivating her environmental practices. "Without them I can't do any of (this)," she said. "Particularly this year. I had the best students in the world."

Medford High School environmental science teacher Audrey Carmosino was recognized for her "green" practices at a school committee meeting Monday.

In May, Carmosino was awarded as Green Teacher of the year by non-profit Green Schools. She was given a certificate for her accomplishment by the school committee Monday night. Carmosino's work at the high school has included efforts to improve recycling and implement a community garden. She credited her students for motivating her environmental practices.
