Medford Man Facing Charges After Reportedly Assaulting Tow Workers: Report

State Police say the young man struck two employees after they refused to release his towed vehicle.

MEDFORD, MA — A resident is facing charges after reportedly injuring two employees at a tow yard in Charlestown on Thursday, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.

Diogo Silva, 19, was arraigned in Somerville District Court Friday on the charges including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury. After being arrested for driving with a suspended license, Silva’s vehicle was towed by Cityside Towing. When he tried to retrieve his vehicle, the company refused and that is when he reportedly assaulted two workers approximately 50 years of age and then fled the scene.
