A Medford man has been indicted on charges alleging he repeatedly abused his girlfriend over a 5-year span, prosecutors said.
Jeffrey Angelesco, 35, of Medford, was indicted Thursday by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on 11 different charges, including various assault charges and stalking, according to a press release from Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone.
The alleged attacks included an incident on July 24, 2010, when Angelesco allegedly grabbed the woman and pushed her into the front metal door of their apartment, then repeatedly kicked her while she was lying in a fetal position on the floor, causing her to fall unconscious, prosecutors said.

“This defendant’s violent abuse continued for over three years, and often occurred in front of her young child," Leone said in a written statement.
After being arrested following the July 24, 2010 incident, Angelesco threatened he would hurt the woman if she testified against him.
The physical abuse also continued, culminating in March of 2011 when the defendant repeatedly beat the victim over a two-week span of time, sending her to the hospital, the press release said.
The woman got a restraining order againstAngelesco, but he allegedly repeatedly called and wrote letter to her from jail asking her to not cooperate with the prosecution, the press release said.
An indictment is a grand jury's determination that there is enough evidence in the case to go to trial. It is not indicative of guilt.
Angelesco is scheduled to be arraigned June 15 in Middlesex County Superior Court in Woburn.
