Medford Mystic River Celebration To Feature Music, Artisans, Food, Fun
The event at the Condon Shell is sponsored by the Coalition for Arts, Culture and a Healthy Economy (CACHE).

MEDFORD, MA — The Coalition for Arts, Culture and a Healthy Economy (CACHE) in Medford has announced details of the upcoming Mystic River Celebration, which will feature live music, food, local artisans presenting their crafts and activities for the whole family.
The event is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the Condon Shell, located at 2501 Mystic Valley Pkwy. The rain date for the event is Sept. 24.
Schedule performances at the event include: melodic indie pop from Zion Rodman (noon to 12:40 p.m.), the Guardians of Isadora Dancers (12:45 p.m. to 1 p.m.), funky R&B and soul from Lekha and Friends (1 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.), readings from Medford Poet Laureate Vijaya Sundaram (1:45 p.m. to 2 p.m.), acoustic rock and sweeping harmonies by Brothers McCann (2 p.m. to 2:40 p.m.), the Tufts Bhangra Dance Troop (3 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.) and the harmony-driven rock of Three At Home (3 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.).

The event also will feature "Mystic River Rocks," a "painted rocks" art project led by Missituck School art teacher Michelle Mazaka. Plus, there will be gross motor play for children run by Knucklebones.
Food vendors scheduled to attend are: CB Scoops, Chicken and Rice Guys and Reunion BBQ.

Among the many items expected to be available from local artisans are: wooden signs, jewelry, pottery, hats and scarves, glasswork, paintings, crochet goods, books and soap.
Many local community organizations also will be represented at the event.
