Medford Officer, Police Department Awarded By AAA

Officer Jordan Cannava received the Traffic Safety Hero of the Year Award, and the MPD was honored for its commitment to traffic safety.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Police Department and one of its officers were recognized with traffic safety awards by AAA Northeast.

Officer Jordan Cannava received the 2021 Traffic Safety Hero of the Year Award. The honor is given "in recognition of your success and continuing effort to educate and protect the citizens of your community," the award states.

The department as a whole received the Gold Award in recognition of "outstanding achievements in traffic safety."
