Medford Officials Working On Addiction Outreach Program

The city's Prevention Director, Penny Funaiole, is organizing an outreach program for Medford residents struggling with addiction.

MEDFORD, MA - The city’s Prevention Director, Penny Funaiole, is organizing an outreach program for Medford residents struggling with addiction.

“As the Prevention and Outreach Manager for the City of Medford, I have been working with the Police, Fire and the Mayor’s Office, as well as, Hallmark Health to organize an outreach program. We have gone out and spoken to some people who have overdosed within the past four months and will continue to do so on a regular basis. We are here to help if you know someone who wants help, please private message me or call/text 781-654-5635. Please share this post with people you think might…want to receive help: users, friends or family members of users," Funaiole said in a statement. "Also, if you have someone in your family suffering from addiction, you need to get help too. Families Anonymous meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at 121 Washington St. Medford.
