Medford Partners With Garbage To Garden To Offer Discount Composting
A limited number of spots are available to access composting service at a 75 percent discounted rate.
MEDFORD, MA — The City of Medford has teamed with composting collection company, Garbage to Garden, to offer a limited number of income-qualified residents a discounted rate of $25 to receive one year of curbside compost collection service.
The program, funded through a MassDEP grant, is open to any Medford resident that already receives SNAP, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Rental Vouchers, lives in subsidized housing, or has children that receive a free or reduced lunch at Medford Public Schools.
A free starter kit is also included, consisting of Rolling Bin, Table-Top Bin, and roll of liners.

To enter the lottery for subsidized compost service, residents can fill in the form here. The lottery is open through Aug. 26, participants will be notified by Aug. 29 and service will start my mid-September.
