Medford Police Officer Awarded Military Achievement Medal
Patrol Officer Christopher Covino is deployed in Okinawa, Japan with the U.S. Marine Corps.

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford police officer was awarded a medal for his military service. Patrol Officer Christopher Covino, who also holds the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy, is currently deployed in Okinawa, Japan with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Covino helps medically train sailors and Marines, according to the police department. He recently received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his performance as a line corpsman.
"The Medford Police Department is proud to have Chris as an officer and we thank him for his service to our city and nation, especially during these trying times," police said in a statement.
