Medford Will Run Again This Fall
The event returns for a fourth year, this time with a new partner.
MEDFORD, MA — The city announced that the Run Medford road race will be returning for the fourth annual year on Friday, Sept. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 27.
This year, the city has partnered with the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation, which has focused on increasing physical activity and literacy of youth since 2003.
Dave McGillivray is a Medford native who graduated from Medford High School in 1972. Before founding his organization, he ran from the city of Medford in Oregon to Medford in Massachusetts for the Jimmy Fund.
“Medford will always be my home and I can’t think of a better way to give back to the community than by sharing my passion and appreciation for running,” McGillivray said.”I know this will be our best year yet and I can’t wait to see everyone in Medford Square.”
