Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Portland, Maine, we are a leading curbside composting company in New England. From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

Through fundraisers last month, John Brewer's Tavern raised over $3,000 for Massachusetts General Hospital's Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department. Both of the tavern's locations - in Malden and Waltham are owned by Medford residents Sue and Bill Honeycutt. Between the two locations, a total of $3231 was raised.

Through fundraisers last month, John Brewer's Tavern raised over $3,000 for Massachusetts General Hospital's Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department.

Both of the tavern's locations - in Malden and Waltham are owned by Medford residents Sue and Bill Honeycutt. Between the two locations, a total of $3231 was raised.

John Brewer's Tavern held fundraisers in May, with the money going to Mass General's pediatric oncology department.
