Medford Schedules Vaccine Clinic Amid Returning COVID Highs
Mayor Lungo-Koehn said the city has a positive rate of 2.11 percent, a high it has not seen since January, but cases have been milder.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Board of Health will hold a walk-up vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 4 as COVID metrics creep back to levels not seen in months. Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said Friday the city has a positive case rate of 2.11 percent, which has not been reported since January, and an average daily case rate of 8.9, which was last seen in late April into May.
The good news: cases are milder in residents who have been vaccinated, Lungo-Koehn said. She emphasized that it is important to take the Delta variant seriously and continue to follow health protocols.
The Massachusetts DPH has issued the following guidance regarding mask wearing:

The Board of Health clinic will be held at City Hall from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Participants will receive a gift card.
