Medford Woman Hits Jackpot With Lottery Win

Christine Jantz turned the $20 Billion Dollar Bonanza ticket into $1 million.

A Medford woman will need deeper pockets after claiming a $1 million prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery.

According to Masslottery.com, Christine Jantz of Medford claimed the prize March 5 from the lottery's "Billion Dollar Bonanza," making her the 95th person to win playing the $20 game.

Masslottery.com said Jantz, a self-employed consultant, will receive the prize in annual payments of $50,000 (less taxes) over 20 years. With her winnings, Jantz told Masslottery.com she would use it for home renovations.

Jantz bought her winning ticket at West Medford Spa at 439 High St. in Medford. The spa will get a $10,000 commission for the sale.
