New Apartment Complex Proposed on Mystic Valley Parkway
A 163-unit complex proposed at location of former car dealership.
A development company is looking to build a 163-unit apartment complex near Meadow Glen Mall on the Mystic Valley Parkway, according to Medford's Office of Community Development.
Criterion Development has proposed the 4-story complex, which would include a ground floor parking garage, two court yards and a "club house" at 3780 Mystic Valley Parkway, Medford's Director of Community Development Lauren DiLorenzo said Tuesday.
The site is currently unused, DiLorenzo said, but it was formerly the location of a Sentry car dealership.

Multiple variances from the city's Board of Appeals are required from the city for the lot to be re-developed for housing, DiLorenzo said.
The city's Community Development Board is expected to discuss the proposed complex at a 6 p.m. meeting Wednesday in room 308 at City Hall. The development board can make suggestions on the proposal, but the official licensing body is the Board of Appeals, DiLorenzo said.

According to a real estate listing on Loopnet.com, the lot at 3780 Mystic Valley Parkway is 2.3 acres and the existing structure is over 19,000 square feet.
