New Coffee Spot Starts Up In Medford

MEDFORD, MA — A new coffee shop arrived in Medford Square this past weekend.

Localito Cafe launched on 30 Riverside Ave. as the downtown area’s newest spot in the space that Mystic Coffee Roasters previously occupied. Brothers Alvaro and Andrés Sandoval own and operate the Mexican-themed cafe that has been in the works for months. Localito is the newest business for the pair as they also own El Tacuba tequila bar on Salem Street and the Tenoch Mexican chain, which has a nearby location in Medford Square.

“This coffee spot really hit the spot on this chilly morning,” Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn said after visiting Localito. “We’ve been waiting to have more coffee offerings in the Square and I’m so happy that this cafe is now open for business.”
