On the Agenda: Problems at Brooks Park, Memorial Mass for Police Officers

Items from the Medford City Council's agenda.

The following items are among the issues the Medford City Council are expected to discuss during their meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall:

  • A resolution from Councilor Breanna Lungo-Koehn to discuss problems at Brooks Park, specifically parking issues, the condition of the park, curbstones and dog problems.
  • A resolution from Councilor Paul Camuso to invite Medford citizens to the Memorial Mass for the Deceased Members of the Medford Police Department that will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. The Mass will be in memory of Sgt. John D. Ruvido, Officers Ralph “Fred” Ritchie, David P. Burke, Vincent J. Giovenelli and Charles “Danny” McGeever.

The council's agenda also includes a request from Mayor Michael McGlynn to transfer $95,476 in funds from the negotiated salaries account to 17 different department salary accounts. The transfer is necessary the city's salary ordinance, passed this year, according to McGlynn.
