Paul D'Alleva Appointed Andrews School Principal
Current assistant principal will take over top spot next year.

Paul D'Alleva will take over as Principal of Andrews Middle School next year.
D'Alleva, who currently serves as assistant principal at the school, was appointed by the school committee Monday night.
The school system had undertaken an extensive search to fill the job, which will be vacant when current principal Tim Blake departs at the end of the 2010-2011 school year. The committee held public candidate interviews in late May for three finalists.

D'Alleva was a candidate for the job early on, but then took his name out of consideration. But he recently went back to Superintendent Roy Belson and asked to again be considered for the job.
"It became obvious to us this would be the best decision,” Belson said Monday night.
