Police Log: Man Charged with Assaulting Police, Drunk Driving

A Revere man faces charges after he allegedly drove drunk then assault a Medford police officer early Sunday morning, police said.

Farhan Alewaili was arrested near Meadow Glen Mall at 3 a.m. Sunday and charged with assault and battery on a police officer and second-offense operating under the influence of liquor, according to the Medford police log.

Alewaili was one of nine people arrested between July 1 and July 4.
