Police Seek Armed Bank Robbery Suspect

Police officials are searching for an armed bank robbery suspect in the area near the Medford-Arlington line.

A male suspect reportedly robbed the Winchester Savings Bank on Medford Street in Arlington at the Medford line around 1:20 p.m. on Friday.

Police say the suspect is a black male, approximately 5’11” with a medium build, wearing black pants, dark gray T-shirt and carrying sweatshirt.

The man was last scene traveling by foot on Medford Street near the Mystic Valley Parkway. Helicopters have been called in to assist in the search.

For precautions, shelters were set up at St. Agnes, Arlington Catholic High School, and at the Bishop and Thompson Schools. They have since been lifted.
