Medford 2025 Election: City Council Incumbents Hold Strong
Six incumbents appear headed for another term on the City Council.

MEDFORD, MA — All six incumbents running for reelection appear to have secured another term on the City Council, according to unofficial results from Tuesday's election.
This year's ballot included 14 candidates competing for seven spots. Incumbents Zac Bears, Anna Callahan, Emily Lazzaro, Matt Leming, Justin Tseng, and George Scarpelli all led the way in voting, earning another term on the council.
Newcomer Liz Mullane is slated to join the incumbents as the newest member, replacing incumbent Kit Collins, who chose not to run for reelection. Mullane appeared to win a narrow victory over her competitors, taking the final seat with 6,585 votes, the seventh-most of any candidate. She edged out the next closest, Miranda Briseño, by only seven votes.
