Off the Street, Into Your Heart

Phantom and Crispy need forever homes

As the weather turns colder, it’s a tough time to be without shelter from wind, rain and snow. It is, however, the perfect time to watch for stray kitties, try to find out if they have a home and, if not, provide shelter while contacting a reputable pet rescue group. Kitty Connection, a non-profit rescue organization that facilitates pet adoptions throughout Eastern Massachusetts, has many cats that were abandoned outside to fend for themselves and now need warm, loving forever homes. Here are two.

Crispy

One-year-old Crispy is a clever guy with a big personality. He loves to play with his human friends and is doing well as he learns to trust people again. He unfortunately contracted feline immunodeficiency virus while he was living on the street, but he’s otherwise well and can live a long and healthy life. He would do best as an only-pet in a home with an experienced cat person and ideally without small children (sometimes he plays a little rough). Crispy likes frequent interaction with his people – maybe you!

Phantom

Phantom is like a quiet little shadow who will follow you around, nap at your feet and keep you company all day once he gets to know you. About three or four years old, Phantom was rescued from the street and is still shy. He’s not a lap cat but likes to be close by and get head and cheek scratches. He’ll meow quietly when he wants attention and retreat to a cozy corner when he’s had enough. Phantom is a sweet and affectionate boy and can’t wait for his forever home.
