Students Get Academic Awards; Historical Society Donates Books to Schools

Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:

: See if your kid or one you know has been recognized. The high school announced the list Tuesday.

Police Promotions: The newly promoted Medford Police include: Kevin Faller to Captain, Michael Fahey to Lieutenant, and Joseph Casey to Sergeant.

: Each of the city’s nine schools received a set of about 15 books drawn from the titles  for sale at the Society's home at 10 Governors Ave.   With the assistance of school library specialist Maria D'Orsi, materials were reviewed and selected for appropriate grade levels.

Cooler, Maybe Showers: There's a thirty percent chance of rain today as temperatures will top out in the high 50s, according to the National Weather Service.
