Tufts University's 2012 Commencement will be held Sunday, May 20. Author, humanitarian, and Navy SEAL Eric Greitens will deliver the commencement address and Lawrence S. Bacow, Bonnie Bassler, Cecilia Ibeabuchi, and Farooq Kathwari will receive honorary degrees.
Phase one of the ceremony will take place on The Green, between Ballou Hall and Bendetson Hall, and phase two takes part at multiple locations. Tickets are not required for either phase.

Phase one begins at 9 a.m. The commencement can be viewed live at commencement.tufts.edu.

Phase I (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.): The All-University Commencement ceremony includes the Academic Procession, the awarding of honorary degrees, the All-University Commencement address, recognition of faculty emeriti, presentation of degree candidates by school and the granting of degrees by the Tufts University Board of Trustees.
Phase II (11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) Individual department ceremonies and luncheons for the various schools and departments. Immediately following the All-University Commencement, individual department and school ceremonies will take place. Select the link below for specific locations:
