Union Boss and Medford Resident Robert Haynes Stepping Down
AFL-CIO of Massachusetts President is stepping down, The Boston Phoenix reports.
Robert Haynes, President of the AFL-CIO of Massachusetts, will not seek re-election in October, the Boston Phoenix reports.
It's not immediately clear when the Medford resident will step down, the Phoenix reports. Haynes has led the union since 1998 and had recently come under scrutiny regarding healthcare legislation, as well as his role as board member with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, the Phoenix said.
