: The city council approved a measure Tuesday night that could allow the city to charge more for police details. Medford pulled in just over $100,000 in revenue last year through a 10 percent administrative fee tacked on to any police detail in Medford. Mayor Michael McGlynn submitted a request to the city council to increase it to 15 percent through a home rule petition, which needs to be approved by the state's legislature.

The City Council decided to table a long list of city fee changes proposed by Mayor Michael McGlynn. The decision to table the request was unopposed Tuesday night and came after two councilors said they were concerned over the cost of some of the fees.
