: Dorothy Ingemi and her son Nicolas Matthews were arrested Thursday, more than four months after they allegedly conned would-be apartment renters out of thousands by posing as landlords and collecting security deposits.

: The city council approved rate increases for cab fares in Medford Tuesday night, as requested by a local cab company owner. The new rates will be $2.40 for the first eighth of a mile and 55 cents for each mile after that, with a waiting time rate of $26 an hour.

Sgt. Michael Dell’Isola, 51, of Somerville, is charged with trafficking cocaine after allegedly accepting cocaine and $500 from an undercover officer. Dell'Isola has worked for the Middlesex County Sheriff's department for 28 years.
