Here's some of the top stories from Medford this week:

 When police went to 138 Murray St. to deliver a restraining order Tuesday, they found a man apparently burning a wedding dress in the backyard and a dozen unsecured guns inside, according to a police report.

: Officials from the Secretary of State's Office gave a presentation to the city council on potential new boundaries for city wards Tuesday. The proposal will have to be submitted to the state by the council in mid-June.

Doug McCourt started reading literature during long hours at the Melrose fire station between calls and soon after, the writing started. McCourt was a Melrose firefighter for 18 years, and now he has self-published a collection of stories in a memoir called Notes from the Firehouse.

: Michael Hutt, 58, of 11A Pearl Street allegedly coaxed the 52-year-old agent from her customer service booth by asking for help putting money on his Charlie Card. He then stroked her back and, after being asking not to touch her, grabbed one of her breasts, according to an MBTA police report.

 According to a report released by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), a progressive stud failure caused a water main break on May 1, 2010, which affected many Medford residents.
