Fire Strikes Liberty Avenue Home

A first-alarm fire started in a bedroom at a 2.5-story residence at 15 and 17 Liberty Ave. in Medford Monday, causing significant damage over to the second floor of the building. The American Red Cross came to the aid of nine individuals impacted by the fire.

Medford Resident Competes on "Hell's Kitchen"

Christian Rosati, a chef in Boston's North End and a Medford resident, is competing on the new season of FOX's reality cooking show "Hell's Kitchen," which stars the mercurial celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Medford Officials Want MBTA Garage Removed

Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn and State Rep. Paul Donato asked Gov. Deval Patrick Wednesday to consider a project that would eliminate the MBTA bus garage on Salem Street and relocate its operations to Wellington Station. The Salem Street location could then be re-developed for residential or commercial use and improve the environmental and health conditions in the area, according to Donato and McGlynn.
