On-street parking is prohibited during the ban. Trash and recycling pickup has been pushed to Saturday. Trash and recycling pickup will be pushed back a day next week.The city is asking residents stay off the roads to allow plows to do their job.City Hall, the City Yard and the Melrose Public Library will be closed Friday. Anyone with non-emergency snow-related issues can call the Department of Public Works at 781-665-0142 or the police at 781-665-1212.
