5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 16
Trinity Episcopal Church will host an interfaith service Tuesday for healing and hope in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing. All are invited.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. Boston universities and colleges are making individual choices about whether to reopen Tuesday, following the Boston Marathon bombing. UMass Boston is closed, Northeastern is open, for example. If you are commuting in, check first.
2. The MBTA is operating today but the Green Line Copley Square exit is closed. Access to Copley Square from the Mass Pike also is shut off, as the entire area is a crime scene. Other parts of Boston are open for visitors, including the Museum of Fine Arts, but expect additional security.

3. Trinity Episcopal Church in Milford will hold an interfaith service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, open to all, to grieve for the victims of the Boston explosions.
4. The FBI is in charge of the investigation and is actively seeking tips and video that may help. "Call the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI with any information regarding the explosions or those who may be responsible. Anyone with any digital media that may be helpful to the investigation, including video, audio and/or still images, is urged to provide it to the FBI via email at Boston@IC.FBI.Gov. If the file is too large for email, use the 800 number.

5. The FBI is holding a press conference at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Patch will cover and post a story on all sites following this.
