“Lisa has been an integral part of Milford Public Schools’ administrative team for more than a decade,” said McIntyre in a statement. “Her depth of experience and ability to relate to both faculty and students makes her a perfect fit for this new role in the district where she will design and implement a vision and supporting curricula for social-emotional learning at all of our schools. Social-Emotional Learning is a critical component of learning and ties into the Milford Public Schools’ mission of providing students with a comprehensive education that prepares students academically but also educates them on how to be responsible, involved citizens with high ethical standards.”

“Having served the Milford Public Schools as a crisis counselor for four years and then an administrator for more than ten years, I have had the opportunity of seeing our district’s needs evolve over time, while supporting our talented faculty and staff through these changes,” said Kingkade in a statement. “Now more than ever, we need to look at educating the ‘whole child,’ providing students with the skills to understand emotions, be empathic towards others, make ethical decisions and build intrinsic motivation. I am excited to serve as the Director of Social Emotional Learning for the district. This is an opportunity for me to work collaboratively with administration, staff and families from pre-kindergarten through high school embedding SEL into the fabric of our daily operations and teaching life skills students need to be successful in the world.”
