Do You Know an Outstanding Milford Teacher?

Nominations are being accepted through March 29 for the Sen. Louis P. Bertonazzi Foundation Outstanding Teacher Award.

Teachers are hired to instruct, but they can also inspire their students to become better people. Largely unobserved by the public, the job of the teacher includes motivating students, inspiring curiosity, rewarding them when appropriate and correcting them when necessary.

Do you have an outstanding teacher in your recent past, or who you have seen do remarkable things?

The Sen. Louis P. Bertonazzi Foundation is collecting nominations through next week for its Outstanding Teacher Award, which carries a $1,000 cash prize.
