Heading out to the Starting Line?
If spectators want to see the start of the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton, free shuttles are available at Hopkinton State Park. But leave early.

If you would like to see the 27,000 runners off in the Boston Marathon, better get up early.
Free shuttle buses will take spectators to the starting line area beginning at 6 a.m. Monday. They will continue until noon.
No parking will be available in downtown Hopkinton. And all roads into Hopkinton will be closed by Hopkinton Police by 7:30 a.m., according to the police website.Â

This includes access from Milford, from Cedar Street and South Street, as well as eastbound off 495. Exit 21 A will be closed by State Police.
Free parking for spectators is available at Hopkinton State Park on Route 85 near the Southboro town line. Shuttle buses will take spectators to the Main Street area.
