According to police Detective Jason Ball, the victim, a young man in his 20s, had left his home to go to the bank. When he returned, he noticed his door was ajar and he heard someone walking around upstairs.

He then saw a man, who when he saw the victim, pulled a utility bill from his pocket, and asked if he knew "Maria."

The man came down the stairs and the two exchanged words. The suspect then fled, leaving in a vehicle. The victim was able to give police a detailed description of both the suspect and the car, including its license plate number. In the dropped pillowcase, the owner found items including an iPad and cell phones.

About 45 minutes later, Castano was stopped in Worcester by a Massachusetts State Trooper, using the Milford information. The victim identfied him as the man who entered his home, Ball said.

Milford Police are now investigating whether Castano is a suspect in several other home burglaries in Milford, including two Friday, one on Camp Street and another on Reservoir Road. Police in Holliston also are investigating whether Castano is involved in home breaks in that town.
