MILFORD, MA — Two vacancies on the Board of Trustees for Vernon Grove Cemetery have been filled after several months of searching.

The town began seeking two members in June to fill seats left when former members Kristen Gardner and John Crean resigned earlier this year. No one applied over the summer, so the town renewed the search in September.

By the Oct. 2 deadline, the town received four applications from Paul Bosclair, Michael Lenza, Charles Skaff and Michael Visconti Jr. In a joint meeting on Oct. 16, the Milford Select Board and the Board of Trustees for Vernon Grove Cemetery voted to pick Lenza and Skaff.

The Vernon Grove members are typically elected to three-year terms each spring. Since Crean and Gardner's resignations came in the middle of their terms, the two new appointees will serve the remainder of each term. Skaff will serve the remainder of Gardner's term until February 2025, and Lenza until the end of Crean's term this spring.

Skaff is an elected Milford constable with a term expiring in April 2025. Lenza is president of the transportation company Transportation Services Consultants, and previously served as a finance officer in Waltham.
