The Milford Police Department announced Thursday that it has put a new 2014 Polaris Ranger 9000 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) into service.

The ATV has been outfitted with a Medlite transport and is capable of transporting one patient and one paramedic. The vehicle was purchased using money that was forfeited in a federal case initiated by the Milford Police Department, police said in a statement.
