Obituaries: Alex M. Jablonski, Florence M. Bodio

These residents of Holliston, Hopkinton and Milford died in recent days.

Alex M. Jablonski, 96, of Milford, died April 5 in the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge MA. He was the husband of the late Ethel F. (Hatch) Jablonski who died in 1980. He was born in Franklin, son of the late John and Anna (Ackerman) Jablonski and lived in Milford most of his life. He was a graduate of the St. Mary’s high School in Milford. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Jablonski retired in 1983 from the former Marlboro Footwear where he was employed as a shoe cutter. He was previously employed at the former Boston Stride Rite Shoe Company and the former Herman Shoe Company. 

Florence M. (Paradiso) Bodio, 97, of Milford, died April 5 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Henry “Tate” Bodio Sr., who died in 2004. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Louis and Celia (Carpentieri) Paradiso and was a life long Milford resident. She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1935 and also a graduate of the Framingham Union Hospital where she received a nursing degree in 1938. Mrs. Bodio was employed as a private nurse and also employed as a nurse at the Milford Hospital in Milford, retiring in 1980.  She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She was an avid bowler and card player.
