Obituaries: Dwight Fields, Paul Decollibus, Christine Guerino, Robert Spindel, Robert Hensel

These residents of Holliston, Hopkinton and Milford died in recent days.

Robert E. “Bob” Hensel II, 50, of Milford, died April 3 in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
He was employed for 25 years as a chef at the former Captain Bob’s Seafood Market in Framingham until its closing in 1998. He then served as a chef in several restaurants in the Framingham area.
Mr. Hensel was born May 11, 1962 in Melbourne, FL, son of Robert E. Hensel of Milford and the late Nancy J. (Matott) Hensel. He was a graduate of Framingham North High School.
Bob was an avid gardener and enjoyed scuba diving in his younger years. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. 

Robert R. Spindel, 85, of Milford died April 1 in the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. He was the husband of the late Eleanor A. (McMann) Spindel who died in 1993.
Mr. Spindel was a mechanic for 40 years, owner of the former B & B Service Station (Shell and Texaco) on Route 140 in Milford, retiring in 1998.

He was born Feb. 13, 1928 in Milford, son of the late Nathaniel and Irene (Morey) Spindel. A lifelong resident of Milford, he attended the Milford School System.

Mr. Spindel served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He enjoyed baseball, especially listening to the Boston Red Sox on the radio and spending time on the Cape Cod Canal.

Christine (Sannicandro) Guerino, 99, of Milford, died March 30 in the Countryside Healthcare in Milford. She was the wife of the late Dominic L. Guerino who died in 1961. She was born in Castelvecchio, DiPuglia, Italy, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Marietta (D’Amelio) Sannicandro and lived in Milford most of her life.   Mrs. Guerino retired in 1986 from the Ray and Dick’s Bakery in Milford. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club. She loved baking, shopping and traveling.

Paul Anthony DeCollibus, 64, of Holliston, died March 29 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Lena (Rossi) and John DeCollibus. He was the husband of 38 years to Mary Lou (Macura) DeCollibus of Holliston.
Paul was a 1967 Framingham South High graduate and a 1972 graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was the owner of DeCollibus TV Service in Framingham and worked in this family business since he was 11 years old. 

Dwight D. Fields, 74, of Whitinsville and formerly of Milford died March 28. He was the loving husband of Carolyn L. (Marshall) Fields. A longtime resident of Whitinsville, Mr. Fields was a counselor at Westborough State Hospital for over 20 years. He had also owned and operated the former Falling Leaves in Whitinsville for many years. 
He was born in Milford in 1938 the son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Jordon) Fields and was a graduate of Northbridge High School class of 1956. He graduated from Worcester Junior College and attended further studies in Hartford, CT.
Dwight possessed a zest for life and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with people. He liked music; Polka music being his favorite. He particularly enjoyed attending local Polka dances. He was an avid supporter of cancer research raising over ten thousand dollars through donation by twice walking the 26 mile Jimmy Fund Boston Marathon route.
