Obituaries: Jo-Ann Leclaire,Charles Dahlgren, Stephen Davis, Ana DaSilvaRobert Bucchino, Serma Barsamian, Gerard Lalime, Sally Brown, Raymond Taft

These residents of Holliston, Hopkinton and Milford died in recent days.

Jo-Ann (Burns) Leclaire, 66, of Milford, died April 16 in the Blaire House of Milford.

She was employed for 27 years at Kidde-Fenwal, Inc. in Ashland, retiring as a supervisor in 2009. She had worked part-time at the Jean Cahill Recreation Program in Milford.

Jo-Ann was born January 21, 1947, in Milford, the daughter of Joseph P. Burns of Hopedale and the late Mary (Hickey) Burns. She was a graduate of Hopedale High School, Class of 1965.

Charles J. Dahlgren, 84, of Holliston, died April 15 at the Pond Home in Wrentham. Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Helen (Murray) and Charles Dahlgren. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie Dahlgren who passed in July 2011. Mr. Dahlgren's obituary and arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Stephen Oliver Meighen Davis, 70, formerly of Holliston, died April 15 from complications with pneumonia. Born in New York City on April 19, 1942, Mr. Davis graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania and received a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering from NYU. 
Mr. Davis, a professional engineer, was a pioneer in supervisory control and data acquisition systems that operated in real time. Mr. Davis founded two software companies in the 1970’s Real Time Engineering, Inc. that was based in Holliston and Real Time Software Systems based in New Hampshire.

Ana Maria DaSilva, 92, of Milford, died April 15 at her home. She was the wife of the late Jose Afonso who died in 1976. She was born in Portugal, daughter of the late Alvino Moutinho and Ana DaSilva, and moved to Milford in 1978. Mrs. DaSilva had worked for the former Milford Shoe for many years, where she was employed as a shoe worker. She was a communicant of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church. 

Robert Bucchino, 80, of Milford died April 13 in the Marlborough Hills Healthcare, Marlborough. He was the husband of Ellen M. (Drugan) Bucchino.

Mr. Bucchino was a construction laborer with Union Local #609 in Framingham for over 20 years before his retirement in 1991. In his earlier years, he had been employed as a security guard at the Norfolk Prison, Norfolk and had worked at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale.

Serma “Bunny” (Germagian) Barsamian, 86, of Milford, died April 10 at the Blaire House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Vartkas “Joe” Barsamian, who died in 2000. She was born in Newton, daughter of the late Harry and Nevart (Ounjian) Germagian, and was a long time Milford resident.  She was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1944, where she was voted “Most Cheerful”.

Gerard A. “Gerry” Lalime, 71, of Milford died April 10 at Milford Regional Medical Center.  He was the husband of Virginia (Caramadre) Lalime, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Born in Central Falls, RI and raised in Pawtucket, RI, he was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bryant College and a Master’s Degree from Suffolk University. He Served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division. Upon his return from Vietnam, he was employed by the Defense Department Contract Audit Agency. In 1974, he moved with his family to Milford, MA and was Manager of Ad Valorum Taxes for Duke Energy in Boston (formerly Algonquin Gas Transmission Company) until his retirement in 2004. 

Sally E. Brown, 88, of Holliston, died April 9. Born in Holliston, she was the daughter of the late E. Josephine and Wilfred G. Robshaw. She was the wife of the late Douglas A. Brown who passed in 2000. Sally attended Stoneleigh College in Rye Beach, NH and then Green Mountain College in Vermont. She worked as a secretary for Goodwill Shoe as well as the Holliston Congregational Church and the former Ace Hardware Store in Holliston.

Raymond A. Taft, 50, of Whitinsville and formerly of Milford died April 7 in Kindred Hospital, Natick. Taft and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1981. He had been a resident of Milford and Uxbridge before moving to Whitinsville 5 years ago.
Raymond enjoyed darts, golf, traveling and his dogs, “Casey Lynn” and “Chole Jean”. He especially enjoyed spending time with family in Wells, ME at their home. He was a fan of all professional Boston sports.
