Mr. DeLuca served as Milford Building Commissioner from 1993 to 2011.

Anthony 'Tony' DeLuca Jr., the Milford Building Commissioner for nearly 20 years until his retirement in 2011, died Thursday. He was 65.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday.
He was a generous, warm-hearted man who grew up in Milford and was proud to call the town home, according to an obituary published by the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kathy (Schofield) DeLuca. A master carpenter and contractor, Mr. DeLuca became the Building Commissioner for the town in 1993, after initially serving as assistant Building Commissioner. He retired in September 2011, citing his health and saying he wanted to spend more time with his family.
His obituary states: "Tony started his career framing houses and established his own building business, DeLuca Homes. He worked alongside many great men – Joseph Testa, Jimmy Chilson, Steve Wyspianski, Walter Vitalini, Dicky Quinlin and his brother Patrick DeLuca. General contracting and master carpentry work gave Tony great pleasure. He built and developed many neighborhoods in town during his younger years."
