Police Log: 13-year-old Won't Go to School

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, March 31

4:41 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle was struck at Petco while he was inside the store. Police are seeking a summons to charge Julie Anne Valentino, 51, of 281 Gosnold St., Hyannis, with leaving the scene of property damage and failure to use care while backing up.

5:47 p.m.: A caller on South Main Street reported loud music. Police spoke to the people involved.

6:15 p.m.: A man called police to report he had taken his girlfriend to the because she was trying to harm herself at home, and she had left on foot. Police checked the area of 140 to the town line, and alerted Hopedale Police. An officer located the woman and she was brought back to the hospital.

6:26 p.m.: A caller on Mark Drive told police the children upstairs were yelling and stomping.

6:32 p.m.: A caller told police a man was going into a residence on East Main Street through a window. Police reported finding a language barrier but said it appeared he was a resident.

6:41 p.m.: A loud music complaint was made on Chapin Street.

7:51 p.m.: A caller told police an 11-year-old was out of control. The mother took the child to Milford Regional Medical Center.

Monday, April 1

7:11 a.m.: Police were called by a mother who reported her 13-year-old daughter did not want to go to school. The woman called again to report the girl was out of control. The dispatcher could hear this, and alerted responders.

10:19 a.m.: A 23-year-old woman with a possible dislocated knee was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center from Milford Sports Center.

2:31 p.m.: A woman reported a man on a bike and carrying a canvas bag stopped on Domenick Street, and took photos of her neighbor's house.

2:32 p.m.: A woman reported she received a call from her ex-husband who was at her house and wanted to take her son. The woman said the man did not have custody of the child. Child was advised not to go off with his father.

2:35 p.m.: A man was reported to be urinating on the Sovereign Bank building. He then got into a silver Saab and left.

2:58 p.m.: A woman told police her husband, who she had just kicked out, had taken some items from her home on Congress Street.

3:21 p.m.: An elderly woman fell on a sidewalk on Sumner Street, and was bleeding from the mouth. EMTs responded.
