Police Log: Brush Fire, Landlord Complaints, Vandalism

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, April 5

4:26 p.m.: A caller on Blanchard Road told police a car was in his driveway and it wasn't supposed to be there. Police determined the owner of the car is having his car worked on, and for some reason, the tow company dropped the vehicle at his old address. He was making arrangements to have it moved to Tomaso Road.

9:28 p.m.: A caller reported his neighbor on Luby Avenue was slamming doors and making a lot of noise.

9:39 p.m.: Milford Regional Medical Center security called and said a person was being disruptive and verbally combative in the emergency room. Police spoke to the person.

10:04 p.m.: Milford detectives checked on three women in a car on Main Street. They were waiting for a tow.

Saturday, April 6

12:15 a.m.: A police sergeant in the lobby of police headquarters was speaking to an intoxicated man and woman about their inability to operate a motor vehicle.

12:45 a.m.: A police sergeant gave a verbal warning to a scooter operator on Main Street who was operating without lights.

1:45 a.m.: Police were out with a large gathering outside which then moved to Spruce Street.

7:46 a.m.: Vandalism was reported on Purchase Street.

11:12 a.m.: A caller reported that two men, possibly intoxicated, had just enteed a silver Chevrolet Impala on East Main Street.

4:09 p.m.: A caller reported she and her husband were having a domestic argument. The husband agreed to leave the residence before police arrived.

5:48 p.m.: Police were told a house on Metcalf Avenue had been vandalized. Chairs in the backyard were broken, the railing was broken and hoses were turned on to flood the backyard.

9:45 p.m.: A caller on Main Street said her landlord was threatening to report her to immigration officials, and shut off her lights. She lives in the apartment with an infant. An officer responded and said a problem was occurring with the breaker, and the power should be back on in 20 minutes.

10:45 p.m.: Another caller from the address on Main Street reported the family did not have power. Police asked for assistance from Hopedale Police with translation.

Sunday, April 7

11:39 a.m.: A brush fire was reported on Manoogian Circle. About one-quarter of an acre burned.

2:33 p.m.: A man in the lobby asked to speak to a police officer about threats he was receiving from his landlord.

2:38 p.m.: A caller at Shadowbrook Lane reported noise.

2:52 p.m.: A woman said her wallet was stolen at McDonald's on South Main Street.
