Police Log: Intoxicated People, Tenant-Landlord Argument
The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 8
4:29 p.m.: Kohl's Department Store called police to report the store had two teens in the office for shoplifting. One was 15 and another, 17. Police took them back to the police station.
6:49 p.m.: An officer checked the Milford Upper Charles Trail and found graffiti in the area of the Milford Senior Center.

7:23 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Maher Court. On arrival, police found no domestic, but a renter who was intoxicated and making noise. Police spoke to the individual.
7:37 p.m.: A caller on Purchase Street reported someone had raked her yard and destroyed some shrubs. Police responded, but found no evidence of vandalism.

7:42 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on Maher Court once again. Police determined the people were not fighting, but had the windows open and were talking loudly. They were advised to keep it down.
8:45 p.m.: A structure fire was reported on Meade Street. On arrival, firefighters found a stove fire that appeared to be out. Heavy smoke was inside the building. Everyone inside was evacuated. An officer reported a "heated dispute" between the property owner and the tenant whose kitchen was involved. The officer reported "this has been an ongoing issue and that the landlord intends to begin eviction proceedings."
9:07 p.m.: An officer asked that Milford Highway Department be notified of a large pile-up of litter at the end of Lawrence Street.
10:39 p.m.: Two intoxicated men were reported to be fighting on East Main Street. Police responded, and an officer said he would contact the Milford Housing Authority.
Tuesday, April 9
6:13 a.m.: A woman in her 20s was in the lobby of Spectrum Health Systems, refusing to leave. Police responded.
9:56 a.m.: A caller from Sara Alternatives reported a woman was supposed to come in to receive medications, and she had not, and was not answering her phone. A well-being check was requested. Police checked in on the woman and she was OK. She had over-slept.
