Police Log: Man Arrested Following Foot Chase

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, March 24

5:45 p.m.: A 3-year-old boy was reported to be choking on a piece of candy. When police arrived, the candy had been dislodged and he was breathing fine.

6:42 p.m.: An officer removed a group of youths from Draper Memorial Park who were skateboarding.

7:03 p.m.: An officer removed several youths from Milford Federal Savings & Loan on Main Street.

7:12 p.m.: A caller on Water Street reported a man and a woman were arguing. Both were last seen on Lee Street. Police responded and reported back that the woman would be staying at another location that night.

7:36 p.m.: An employee at Granite Gulf reported the theft of gasoline. He left the plate number with police. Police called the man who said he would return to the gasoline station before they close.

10:00 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Medway Road, police were seeking a summons to charge Aaron J. Bufford, 19, of 28 Stonecrest Rd., Boston, with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Monday, March 25

6:32 a.m.: A Nissan Quest was repossessed on Spring Street.

10:20 a.m.: A woman asked to speak to an officer about a possible domestic that took place the previous day.

11:20 a.m.: A caller reported a loose pit bull in the area of Congress Street, and it appeared to be vicious. Police responded. An officer spoke to the owner of the dog, and reported everything was all set.

11:25 a.m.: A caller reported an issue between his mother and a friend. The friend keeps walking into the house without authority.

11:47 a.m.: A caller on Water Street reported an issue she was having with her boyfriend. Police went to the location with a warrant. When they arrived, they determined the man had taken off through the back door and through a fence. Police chased after the man heading toward Christino's. Police arrested Derik J. Viliott, 34, of 4 Water St., Milford, on a warrant.

3:07 p.m.: A box truck that was disabled on East Main Street was blocking traffic near Hickey's Liquors. Art's Towing was contacted.
