Police Log: Multiple Fire Crews Respond to Brush Fire on Cedar Street

Tuesday, Aug. 26
At 6:44 a.m., Milford police received a report that vehicles were broken into overnight in the area of Braza and Mancini, Inc. on Birch Street.
At 11:44 a.m., a general manager at Prezo Grille and Bar reported that one of the employees at the restaurant had been stealing money from and they had surveillance footage capturing the employee doing so. Officers subsequently issued a summons to Patrick Ireland, 20, of Milford for larceny of less than $250.

At 12:51 p.m., a caller reported a two-car accident in the area of Beaver and East Main streets involving a white Chevrolet and white Honda.
At 4:07 p.m., Massachusetts State Police reported they had received a call from a woman who said there had been a two-car accident in the area of Pheasant Circle involving a man who may have been intoxicated. Officers responded and issued a summons to Joseph Lamontagne, 61, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 4:36 p.m., a caller reported a brush fire in the area of Cedar Street. Milford and Hopkinton fire crews responded to the area, as well as crews from Hopedale to extinguish the blaze.
At 10:34 p.m., police received a report of fraud and issued a summons to two juveniles, one aged 15 and the other 16, for larceny of less than $250 each by single scheme.
