Police Log: Vandalism, Shoplifting Arrest, Man Disturbing the Peace

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, March 10

3:56 a.m.: Police and EMTS responded to La Quinta Inn for a medical emergency. A 27-year-old woman had possibly overdosed in one of the guest rooms. She was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

5:14 a.m.: A newspaper delivery driver reported wires were down in the area of Fells Avenue. Verizon was called.

10:19 a.m.: A 17-year-old boy ingested a substance, and was in and out of consciousness. He was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center.

1:15 p.m.: Hopkinton Police reported one of that town's ambulances was involved in a crash on Purchase Street. No injuries were involved, so the ambulance continued its transport to the hospital. The other vehicle pulled over, waiting for police to respond.

5:21 p.m.: A woman on North Bow Street told police she had heard loud noises from an apartment nearby. Police spoke to the people involved.

5:28 p.m.: A caller on Leah Lane told police an elderly woman with one shoe on, and one slipper, was confused and wandering in the area. Her family was contacted and responded.

8:21 p.m.: A woman told police her daughter was receiving threatening text messages from a friend.

Monday, March 11

10:13 a.m.: A woman at the Daily Bread Food Pantry told police of vandalism to the air conditioning unit at the facility.

11:18 a.m.: A man working on vents at the Milford Police Department cut his head. An ambulance responded but he refused transport to the hospital.

12:26 p.m.: Police responded to ALDI Food Market for a report of an older man  in the parking lot disturbing the peace. Police could not locate him.

1:20 p.m.: A man reported he had been given a bad check.

3:16 p.m.: A Chevrolet Monte Carlo was repossessed from the Hannaford Supermarket parking lot.

4:04 p.m.: Police responded to Kohl's Department Store for a report of a woman stopped for shoplifting. Police arrested Amanda Hawkins, 22, of 1 Masspoag St., Medway, on a charge of shoplifting more than $100 by concealing merchandise.
