Rare Book Specialist to visit Milford Town Library

Kenneth Gloss, rare book expert and proprietor of The Brattle Book Shop in Boston’s Downtown Crossing,  visits the Milford Town Library on Sept. 26 at 6:30 p.m. to give a talk  entitled, ”Is There Value in Your Old and Rare Books?”Gloss has been a frequent guest appraiser on PBS’ Antiques Roadshow. Besides showing several examples of rare material, including  a sales brochure for the Titanic, a 1912 Wold Series scorecard and old LIFE magazines, Gloss will  give verbal appraisals of all books attendees have brought with them. Should time run out, appraisals can also be made at The Brattle Book Shop at Downtown Crossing (9 West Street).
